1954 Cadillac Other Convertible

My father bought this Cadillac in 1992 and spent 4 year restoring it with a professional restoration shop. It took 4 years. He drove it for 3 years then sold it to a friend of his who was the president of the Louisiana Cadillac Lasalle Club. He owned it from 1999 until he passed away a few years ago. It was stored in a climate control garage on a wood floor coveredwith blankets. I purchased it from the estate. The family had a new exhaust system installed prior to me buying it. In the last month I spent over $4500 with a well known Classic Car mechanic shop getting it in very good mechanical condition. Rebuilt Carburetors, all new fuel lines, new fuel pump, complete radiator service, all new brake cylinders, new rear brake lines, new spark plugs and spark plug wires, tune up, grease packed front wheel bearings, replace power top cylinders, fuel tank was also cleaned and serviced. Just last weekI wasdriving around town and the generator was making a little noise soI got the generator rebuilt. The coolant, brake fluid, and oil and filter changed. All this was done within the last 100 miles. If I do not sell it I will rebuild the steering gear box. It steers well but it has a little play and when the gaskets are change the small drops from the gear box will stop. The car is extremely straight. All the gaps and seams arevery very good. The paint is extremely good. I had a classiccar appraiser look at itprior to buying it and he said what was unusual is that there was no indication the car was ever hit. Transmission shifts well, stops good, does not burn oil or smoke. It has an electronic ignition. I can't imagine driving a car that attracts more attention than this 1954 Cadillac convertible. I will be happy to answer any questions. I welcome an inspection. If you want to talk please send me your number and I will give you a call
