17,991 original Miles. This Buick Riviera is in excellent condition. The car was owned by a retired clay modeler who did contract work with several American vehicle manufacturers, including General Motors. He was a member of the Buick Club of America, and this was his club entry show car. He stored it exclusively in his air-conditioned basement on a carpeted floor with towels laid out over the body and interior. Windshield has never had the plastic pulled off of it. You will never find another Riv in this condition... period.
It starts, idles and drives pretty smoothly, but should be trailered due to infrequent use and old fuel. The fuel needs to be drained, and fuel filter needs to be changed. Service records show the vehicle has only been driven about a hundred fifty miles in the last three years. Transmission shifts smooth, and ride feels controlled. The car has load levelers, and GM's first touch screen display. Tires are ORIGINAL with no signs of dry rot, but should be exchanged before highway driving due to age. AC compressor was replaced by the Buick dealership in 2018.
The paint is in excellent condition and is either original, or a show-quality repaint. There is one slight buckle in the plastic bumper cover on the driver side as shown in the last image. The buckle may have existed when the vehicle was sold new.
The undercarriage is clean and in almost new condition. The engine bay is clean, and the car has been run on OEM GM fluids. Trunk is clean and dry. Factory jack and owners manual are included.
Interior is like new in every way. The seats have had custom colored towels that are the same color as the interior laid out over them since the car was new. The owner drove the car alone, so only the driver seat has been sat in. Thick brown paper has been laid out over the carpets since the car was new to protect the floor mats. The carpets are clean and the entire interior maintains its deep, rich factory color. The dash is perfect, and all gages are functional. All power equipment is in working condition with the exception of a couple seat controls.
