1964 Buick Skylark

The Buick Skylark was introduced as a trim option in 1953 but wasn't officially a model of its own until 1962. This is considered the First Generation of Skylark, from 1964-1967. Why This Car Is Special This is a phenomenal example of a virtually unchanged Skylark. It is as stock as they come and is incredibly clean and well cared for. Mechanical A 300 cubic inch V8 engine replaced the all-aluminum 215 CID engine of 1963. It was rated at 210 horsepower, which is plenty of power for this drop top. The cast iron block was topped off with aluminum heads and a 2-barrel carburetor and is dressed nicely with chrome valve covers and air cleaner. It is backed by a Super Turbine 300 2-speed automatic transmission that shifts very smooth. Power steering and power brakes make this Skylark a dream to drive, and a very capable cruiser. Interior Two tone blue with bucket seats and a matching convertible boot cover when the top is down. The interior is in great shape and very comfortable. There are seat belts for your safety and the factory AM radio in the dash. The convertible top is power, so you can have the sun on your brow with the flip of a switch. The driver door mirror is remotely controlled from inside the cab. The dash of this Skylark is a work of art with all of the polished slats and fine detail work, right down to the shifter knob. Exterior This car is a little slice of class in an elegant Blue with a white convertible top. Buick hubcaps and skinny white walls really compliment the car well. This Buick is adorned with just the right amount of chrome and stainless. It shows well and looks classy, but is not a "look at me" type of car with miles of chrome. The convertible top boot fits perfectly and really pulls it all together when the top is down. Conclusion We don't see Skylark convertibles very often, and this little beauty won't last long.
