Description:

1959 Buick LeSabre Sedan

Due to moving, I am considering selling my 1959 Buick Lesabre. 1959 Buicks are very unique: 1959 was the first year Buick offer the "batwing" cars (1958 Buicks are of completely different style). Again in 1960 Buick changed the front "face" of the car making it look much less appealing than the 1959 model (the 1960 models have the front headlights in-line while in 1959 they were slanted for a much-much more appealing look).

There are very-very few 1959 Buicks for sale in general (none currently on ebay).
I bought her in 2014 (as I always wanted a 1959 Buick). She is a base 4D sedan. The body could use a repaint and there are three dings on the body that need to be pulled (one on the roof, one in the left rear quarter and one on the right threshold). The engine runs strong - Original Buick 364cuin Nailhead, two-speed automatic twin-turbine transmission (an early CVT attempt). I have rebuilt the rear-end (new torque-ball, rear shocks, etc.), brakes have been rebuilt and brake system converted to a two-circuit brake system (for safety) (I should still have the original master). The only other modification is the electronic ignition/distributor (I have the old distributor). The carpet has been replaced, the front seats have been partially re-stitched. The carburetor has been refurbished (new seals, etc), new fuel lines and a few other repairs. The rear seat is out currently - it got re-stitched needs to be put back on the seat spring. There is some surface rust on the body.

You are welcome to come and look at the car by appointment - please contact me. The car is not perfect, it is a project car but runs and drives just fine. Due to the age of the car, she should not be driven long distance - trailering is recommended. She is registered as an antique car in Texas.
