1968 Buick LeSabre Convertible Absolutely Gorgeous

I'm listing this subject vehicle for sale owned by a B.C.A. (Buick Club of America) & A.A.C.A. (Antique Auto Club of America) family who is selling their car to get their affairs in order as they are not internet savvy and asked my help in listing their car for sale.
One particularly unique trait to this gorgeous '68 LeSabre Convertible is that 3 of its 4 owners have all been in the B.C.A. or Battlefield Region AACA including the original founder of this Battlefield AACA chapter.Vehicle has always been owned by an older contingent in their 60's/70's who have always given this car exemplary care in their combined ownership. The vehicle is a true straight survivor car in excellent overall condition for its age.
EXTERIOR:Exterior finish is bright white and has good luster for it's garaged storage historically. I should note that consistent with GM vehicles in the 60's there is minor paint checking evident on the right front fender, but nothing is "loose" or "flaking off" perhaps for its years of careful storage and waxed condition. I only disclose this detail in the spirit of transparency. All panel fitment is good/tight and closes solidly just like the car did when new. No door sag from sagging hinge bushings etc.No sign of collision history evident anywhere.
All trim is present and intact in good shape. There is a half-dollar sized rust spot just starting to poke thru as the left rocker area in front of the left rear wheel. This is an inexpensive repair that can be finished in seamless fashion.Top is approximately 9 years old, black in color and, while not depicted here, is in good shape. Top Motor is strong and works as it should. Tonneau cover is likewise in great shape, altho' there are 1 or 2 snaps that have come off the cover itself (a cheap fix for trim shop). On the right quarter panel there are 2 or 3 small chips that were touched up by previous owner(s) years ago that have never worsened. Nor do they detract from overall presentation.Glass is good and undamaged. All exterior lighting works as it should.Chrome and stainless brightwork are all in near excellent condition throughout. Chrome is undamaged and polishes nicely with good alignment and no impact history.Tires are from Coker Tire (nearby) and have less than 500 miles on them.
INTERIOR:Interior is bright red vinyl with a "pattern" in the seats. Apart from minor fading expected with age, it's near perfect in condition for front and rear. Carpet is all original and undamaged apart from slight fading.Dash is not split. In fact, EVERYTHING works on this car as is should except the clock (go figure!).All instrumentation is bright, with good chrome (or plastichrome) and works as it should.Trunk compartment is near perfect save for a rust hole observed right below the left edge of the spare tire well (see photo please). The club restorer indicated that this can easily be remedied with a patch that can be made seamless to the rest of its appearance. The trunk includes the GM Courtesy Kit consisting of GM detailing supplies in a nice box---------all of which is still amazingly intact.Seats are comfortable and work as they should.
MECHANICAL:This car is a dream for its originality--------like going back in time to 1968.NONE of the 4 owners have used any gasoline with ethanol with strict adherance to non-ethanol gasoline. I'm certain that car runs as well as it does for careful attention to this. The car starts/runs/drives flawlessly with no unusual sounds or odors or leaks evident. All the front suspension has been updated with modern bushings correct for this suspension for a truly incredible like-new ride.Brake Master Cylinder and wheel cylinders and fluid have all been replaced.Hoses and belts etc. are all new.Water Pump is new. Alternator is new.AC has been upgraded to 134a and blows ice cold as it should.Exhaust is new. Valve Cover Gaskets and all other engine-related maintenance items have been addressed with new replacement or repairs if warranted.
Any known flaws/details have been carefully listed here to best represent the condition of this car.I've not seen a car quite this nice in a long time for its originality, performance, and maintained condition.Located in the Nashville area for most of its life, I cannot overstate just how all original this survivor is for its storied local ownership. This is a car thoroughly enjoyed by all.A careful review of eBay past sales and other online websites did not reveal many of these available for sale anywhere. Even the big-block auctions do not show any of these sold for comp-comparisons etc.The reserve has been realistically set for the few repairs needed in the spirit of a timely sale based in part on the Old Car Price Guide, NADA and Hagerty Evaluation Tool for some perspective.Additional photos or a test-drive can be arranged with advance notice. Please do not hesitate to call should you have any questions. You may direct any offers or other communications to: CA in TN 615.979.3058
The car is listed elsewhere for sale, and may be sold at any time. If this eBay auction is still up its still for sale. Buyer will be asked to sign a customary a buyer's agreement with the customary "As-is/where-is" language. Don't miss out on this great old car with a sheltered life!Kind regards,
