1965 Buick Riviera Deluxe Interior

Being offered is a restored 1965 Buick Riviera. The restoration included removing the body from the chassis and repairing and painting the chassis and installing all new motor mounts. The body work was completed and completely repainted to the original color. The interior seats were repaired as needed, new wood laminate was placed on the door panels and console and they look great. There are no cracks in the door panels or dash pad. The dash pad was removed and correctly re-dyed with vinyl dash pad paint. The interior got new carpet, headliner and rear package tray. The car looks stunning inside and out. It has the correct Buick Road wheels and new tires. The famous clamshell headlights have been reworked and a rebuilt motor has been installed, they work beautifully. The car came fully loaded, AC, power windows, including vent windows, but those motors still need to be rebuilt. The AC does not work, but appears to be complete. The transmission has been rebuilt, all exhaust is new, all new suspension and power brakes. When I bought the car, the engine was missing. It was supposed to have a 425 cubic inch engine but at the time I could not locate one so I found a 401 and had it bored sixty over and it is now about 415 cubic inches. It was professionally rebuilt by Calvert Performance Engines in Denton Texas. The 401 has the original dual 4bbl carbs, intake manifold and chrome air breather installed and they have all been redone. Just as the restoration was being completed, I found a 425 block and am currently having it rebuilt. That block will be available for sale separate from this auctionand the winning bidder of the car gets first option at buying the425. The restoration has been long in process and has just been completed. If you have ever restored a car to this level, you will know they need to be driven to determine the last things to do.

Here is what all I know needs to addressed on the car.Theside bolts and brackets for the front and rear bumpers were somehow lost in the restoration. The green seatbelts are not present. Those items should be easy to find. The two special bolts that hold the bottom of the accelerator pad to the floor were lost in the restoration and I have already ordered replacements that will either be installed or go with the car. One of the exhaust pipes has a rattle in it. I am not sure if the radio works or not. The car came with a driver power seat but I had to replace it with a manual seat. Those are available on ebay but expensive. The car has power windows, including power vent windows that do not work. The motors are in place but need to be redone. The front power windows are for some reason wired into the power vent window switches. Drivers side rear window works but not great. The car is very complete and is absolutely stunning.

The car is being sold as is, where is.
