1953 Buick Skylark

If you have searched for this year and model Skylark then you know alot about them already. So a little information about these beauties.
Prior to my purchase this baby was owned by one family for the last 30 years. It is fresh out of a 5 year restoration effort that restored factory correct aesthetics

A little history:
In 1953 Buick celebrated its 50th anniversary. This was the ''Nailhead'' V8 debut also which replaced the long used straight-8. These babies were the highlights of the 1953 Motorama show.
Buick took a standard Roadmaster convertible and hand made major changes to resulting in an entirely new look that was ostensibly designed to make it into a sports car. Yep a 4000 pound Buick art deco sports car.

These roughly 800 special Skylarks have details like the sweepspear side molding, the dip behind the front doors, the stacked taillights and of course lots of art deco Chrome and the lovely Kelsey-Hayes chrome wire wheels, which are wrapped with fat wide whites.
Unquestionably an A-list collectable.

I have put the mileage at 50 which is number since restoration but technically its exempt due to model being more than 10 years old.

Look forward to talking to you.
