Up for sale is this beautiful survivor! 1958 Buick Special 4 Door Hardtop! All orignal, and all extremely complete. Running, driving, and stopping car! Power steering works, most of the lights and electrical work as they should, and the heater works as well.
Let's go over so pro's and con's
Pro's:- 95% Original paint (See con's for explanation)- Zero body rust other than a small bit of surface rust on dings- Very complete!- Runs, drives, and stops!- Original Automatic Transmission- Original dash radio and clock- Power Antenna (does not work but it is complete)- Original Nailhead V8 engine (I believe it is a 364- Dash vinyl is not cracked- Headliner has no mouse holes!- Exhaust sounds great!- Carburetor has been disassembled and throughly cleaned- New Spark Plugs- New Distributor cap and rotor- Clean North Dakota Title!- Started life as a South Dakota car - it hasn't seen much of any humidity!
Con's:- Paint is scratched, chipped, and crazed in certain areas (Patina!)- Someone spray painted the trunk lid at some point in the past (shown in picture)- Driver side backup light lens has a hole in it (Pictured)- Rear bumper has a rust hole in strange location (Pictured)- There are a few dents in the body panels and trim. Search the pictures closely- Driver side pot metal bumperette trim is broken. Someone reattached it clumsily with screws at some point in the past (pictured)- Interior isn't moused, but the seat covers are torn and dried out.- A couple of the door armrests have been duct taped some time in the past - I assume the original material is gone underneath- Door panels are in good shape, but show some staining- 3 pieces of cracked glass: Windshield, Driver side from vent, Passenger side door
Very complete survivor in running and driving condition!
