ITEM DESCRIPTION

The Bad!

The car has been sitting outside since 1968. The car has a lot of rust and issues. The hood is dented in and the front and is rusty and probably no good. Both the upper and lower tail gates have rust outs on them as well. The rear frame has rust outs on the curve on the bottom under the back seat. The gas tank is rusted out as is the back end of the car. The front drivers floor is pretty much gone. There is rust outs on the bottom lower edge of the far back windows too. The dash has asmall rust out spot to the left of the main gauges, I would have to guess there is a mouse nest back there. The front windshield is no good and the front drivers door glass is cracked too. The front bumper guards are both dinged up and the front bumper has some rust and waves. Please view the pictures and ask questions if needed. The car is pretty complete but someone did steal the radiator, hood ornament and dome light. The RH B pillar trim is missing. The rear drivers door stainless trim has two screws holding that on. The lower front cone of the oil bath is rusted out from a mouse nest. I am sure there is more not mentioned, if seriously interested please ask for specifics. Very rusty and sitting outside for 44 years condition.

The Good!

This is a very complete car with lots of good trim / parts and a complete engine right down to the spark plug covers. I did go through the loops and got a new crisp clean MN title for this car. It was issued 8/1/16. Both I.D tags are present. All four of the door are in good solid condition. The front drivers door only opens from the inside. The grille, upper grille bar and extensions are in good condition with some pitting. The lower tailgate opens and closes like it should. All the hardware is there. The top hinges of the upper tail gate are stuck but there. The back seat folds up and down good and should be a great core for redoing, all the parts are present and good. The 322 enginehas a 4 barrel intake manifold with single exhaust,it is very complete. The spark plug covers are in good solid condition. The tranny and shifter linkage is complete and seems to work as it should. There is an absolute wealth of stainless steel trim on this car. All of the stainless is there andin good condition. The only exception is the back RH door trim, it has two screws holding it on. Lots of good rare parts,I am sure there is more that is not mentioned. If interested please ask for specifics. Thank you.

The Story:

Old boy pulled in the driveway bouncing! The rear shocks went out and he was done with the car in 1968. Thecar was purchased in 1974 as part of an estate sale. It sat under a big oak tree ever since 2012 and was carefully exhumed from it's resting place. It would probably still be sitting there but small talk led to aneat conversation. What was your favorite car at the Back ToThe 50's show in MN? I replied a 1954 Buick Skylark, it was the first and only that I had seen in person. He then informed that he had this 1954Buick Century station wagon. I do not have the heart to part this car out due to rarity. I feel my asking price is way more than fair as there is a wealth of rare good parts. There is a lot of common interest in vintage and rare vehicles / tractors. Thanks again for looking at my auction. A rare opportunity! Please bid accordingly.Good luck.
