1991 BMW M5

1991 BMW M5 - The last of the hand-built supercars from Bavaria!!
If you don't know what an M5 is, ou probably are wondering why a 25 year old car would carry such value. In that case, will not be disappointed if you click away and continue looking for your next Camry or Accord or something else equally boring.
If you know what this is, ead on...
So, his is the 4th BMW M5 that I have owned, nd the 5th one is in my driveway now. Based on this, ou may get the impression that I'm a bit stuck on these cars... and you would be right!I really don't know any other car that has the same blend of awesome performance, echanical soul (each one has been truly unique), eal-world practicality, nd stealthy image that doesn't scream its presence to law enforcement.
I have owned this one for a few years, nd it's been quite a pleasure to own, ccasionally autocross, requently roadtrip, nd basically daily drive.
The modifications list is short, s it came with a chip and Koni adjustable shocks on performance springs. I have replaced the rear Konis a while back, nd they still seem fresh. I would think the fronts could use replacement before too long. Frequent oil changes use Mobil 1 full synthetic with Mahle oil filters. I installed a K&N cloth air filter, ut then went back to the Mahle paper filter after the MAF failed, erhaps due to the red oil in the filter. Since the MAF for this car is apparently made of faery hair and plutonium strands, didn't want to risk fouling another one. Luckily, found that the part number is cross-referenced with two other cars, hich increased the availability... a bit. The two other cars are the '78 Porsche 928 and the '80s Audi Quattro, ach of which is just as rare as the e34 M5. Dangit.
Anyhoo, ou will get a strong-runner with fresh plugs, ew distributor cap and rotor, ew fan clutch, ew Bridgestone RE-11 super sticky tires, trut tower brace, nd probably a few other things that I have forgotten for now. I also have a box or two of spare parts that I will gladly throw into the trunk for you to sift through.
Sooo... payment and shipping:I know buying a car long distance can be tedious, nd I have done it many times, o I'm flexible. You will be expected to make a Paypal deposit right away, o I know you are serious about buying my car. Then, ou can mail a certified check, oney order, r bring cash for the balance. The catch is, hat I have to get those funds to the credit union so they will release the title.Once this occurs, ou may come get the car and drive it far, ar away, r we can arrange shipping to your front door.I have used Uship.com with pleasant results, ut you may have a preferred shipper of your choosing, nd I will gladly coordinate getting onto your truck.Alternately you may wish to pay me to drive it to you, ith me flying home after. This will not be cheap, ut I am open to offers. The main thing is that we get your title transferred to you, hich we can do at any Department of Motor Vehicles upon delivery of the car.
If you are still reading, appreciate your interest in my car, nd hope you have as much fun driving it as I have had. :-)
