1987 bmw 325i convertible Start At A Penny With No Reserve Original Owner

1987 BMW 3-Series

I bought this car new in 1987. I drove it for 3 yrs and put on about 85,000 miles. I liked it so much that rather than trade it in I put it in my aircraft hangar. Upon my retirement in 2005 I decided to go through the entire car and replace all belts, fluids, suspension, air conditioning and anything else that needed repair or replacement. At present it is in excellent overall condition with a couple caveats. Over the last 2 years the air conditioning has slowly blown warmer air. In 2005 the compressor was changed and the older type of Freon was used and it has not been recharged over the last 15 years. I' m confident a Freon recharge is all it needs. The exhaust system is original and fine however, the exhaust tips fell off last year after 32 yrs. of service. The only other item of mention is I have noticed some oil drips on drives that exceeded over 100 miles. I suspect that the front oil seal is starting to leak during those extended drives. There is no oil drops after short drives and I am very confident this car, as is, will take you where ever you want to go.. Cosmetically I think it looks great and I get compliment where ever I go. Not seen in the pictures however, are a few small dents a couple small scratches and a few other imperfections. The interior is all original and in excellent condition with the exception of the drivers left seat bolster. The top was replaced many years ago however, it is still in near new condition. As you can see from the below CARFAX the color of the car is listed as black. In 1987 this was the first production postwar convertible that BMW produced and was in very high demand and a triple black was all that was available so I bought it. Within the first year I had it painted white and all the exterior trim items were added at that same time. In hindsight I wish I would have left it black as that color was the most rare. This car is 100% rust free. The CARFAX has some other omissions that I have made them aware of however, I have yet to hear from them. I do think it may have happened for a few reasons. When I registered it in Wisconsin in 2005 I registered it as a collector car. In Wisconsin a collector cars registration is done only once and never needs to be renewed. There was never a sale in 2009 as it states. In 2009 I moved to Florida and it had to be registered as a standard car that required yearly renewal as is reflected below.Forgot to mention, this car has never been in any accident, of any type, during it's entire lifetime.
