totals $31,000! Only 7,500 miles have been put on the engine rebuild.
Everything on this car has been fully sorted and updated to the highest
standards. This is one of the best driving E28’s on the road and turns quite
a few heads. This car has resided in Arizona and California since new; very
clean body + undercarriage with no rust or corrosion.
I purchased this Hotrod from P.O. while being stored for a year at Vintage
MotorSport Group in Duarte, a. owner renown BMW restorer Ron Perry.
While in Ron’s shop, e removed the M-Technique kit and installed a new
Euro sheet metal valance, ull set of Euro chrome bumpers then, dded a
new NLA Euro M5 chin spoiler. This completed the transformation. Ron fit a
set of New NLA chrome mirrors and door handles from an e12 chassis.
It wasn’t running right down on power. I brought the car to Church
Automotive Testing in Wilmington, a. They had the Autronic software –
downloaded and worked their magic – the baseline was so far off. Jerry
tuned the car and performed as many as 20 DYNO runs pulling the car to
6800-7000rpm’s each with another minor tweek. A/F mixture & timing. Took
it out for a quick drive - A completely different car – Pulled so strong in 1st
& 2nd gear Spun the 17” tires. Impressive numbers on the Dyno.
Documented. The clutch slave got stuck – forcing us to pull the Getraggearbox – while out inspection of the clutch showed signs of wear – I
installed a new Sachs HD Clutch Pack – PP, OB, ilot bearing,
Resurfaced 14lb M5 flywheel. Rear main seal, lutch master, lutch slave,
UUC short shift kit. Checked suspension – Installed new Meyle OE rear
subframe bushings, ogbones and Rebuilt CV axles. Adjustable front sway
bar links ends.
The interior got a makeover – New leather dashboard, eather door caps,
black headliner. Interior shows new. Installed a BMW OE Siega shaded
glass with break’in sticker. Even got the headlight wiper/washer functions
working – neat! I refinished a set on M-System 8x17 alloys with new
235/45/17 ZR rated tires. Incredible stereo system – a concert hall sound.
Lighted ///M leather shift knob, ecovered M-Technic steering wheel in
Napa leather with ///M Tri-color stitch. Even the glovebox flashlight works.
Another Euro joint project forces sale –I have enjoyed this car and logged
over 500 trouble-free miles. Professional appraised for $36,200. The
vehicle carries a clean history report and all service build documentation (3
