Hello, i have had this engine swap e30 for quite some time. Going on 11 years now. It has had all the work performed by myself or friends that are professional BMW mechanics by trade. ( we are in the Hudson Valley ) Many receipts going back years and multiple titles will be given as I have the original title from the e36 donor car which I had driven previously to this e30. e30 chassis has 240k milage ( no rust anywhere ) all minor surface rust was dealt with and POR15'd and sanded before the recent paint jobe30 was originally an auto so it has the 4.10 differential in the rear5 speed manual swap (e36)modified 320 brake booster was purchased used with low miles (20k)540i mafe36 325i modified driveshafte30 m3 eve side mirrors (can be heated and electric if wired)e30 m3 front seats (can be heated if wire, you just need the wiring hardware)1984 318i rear bumper inserts1991 plastic front bumper swap ( perfect lower valence )brand new paint job in Alpine white ( professionally done by BMW e30 Mechanic )NGK spark plugsnew injectorsnew actuator for hoodnew license plate lightauthentic Borbet Type A's 7.5x16 with caps ( adapters used from 4x100 )brand new AST shocks front and reare-brake boot was a just cleaned and repairedTransmission is relatively new . a replacement one was installed in the e36 325i when I bought the e36 in 2005e36 side skirtsstock e36 m3 Mufflercatalytic converter was just cleanedbrand new blower motornew batterynew fuel pumpnew hood latchelectric engine fannew temp sensore36 extra air intact ventdash is perfectantenna deleteac deletepower steering delete**** the wiring harness is now tucked under where it's supposed to be, in the one picture it wasn't installed correctly because I was cleaning the are, i'll take another picture tomorrow
Car hasn't seen a winter in 7 yearsthis e30 is currently a daily driver
Things that need to be addressed in the future...
1. passenger side fog light has been sitting and is less polished then right fog ligh, could be polished and reinstalled
2. black trim on doors could use another spray of Trim Paint
3. small quarter sized rust spot under sunroof panel ( these can be replaced generally cheap maybe 100$ for the part and 150$ to do the instal, possibly needs new sunroof motor or to be cleaned because the sunroof pops up but struggles to go bac, this is also very easy maybe an hour job )
4. Small rip in drivers seat ( to fix to factor, this is relatively simple as wel, you just need the bolster leather from a used seat which usually runs about 50$ and to reupholster it would probably be 150, I just put a sheepskin rug over becaus, why not ? sheepskin doesn't come with the car ! )
5. small quarter size crack in right taillight ( was just gonna install red taillights because that look would be great with the 84 318i bumper which has a large rear light on rear / taillight crack would also be covered up if you installed a late model plate filler, just FYI )
