1974 BMW 2002 2002

Wowthis little car pulls well. I wasvery surprised at how quickly we rose up thetwisties to 1000 feet. It never heated up or missed a beat. It belonged to avery reputable shop in Berkeley California.Berkeley not only has hippies in VW busses, there are also folks with classic 2002s hidden around the town. This one had been sequestered in an underground garage for the last 7 years. I had it outside during this wet winterand not one spot got wet inside. The little car was coated with dust when I pulled it out and now it is rain washed clean. There is more cleaning to do however as the trunk and under the bonnet are dinghy. The car has been fitted with porsche gauges and seats. The gauge install is quite rudimentary. The tachisn't working. The gas gauge, e brake warning, temp gauge is working. The headlights are working There is an expensive Italian removable steering wheel and some dynamic motorsportwheels. The rear passenger rim has some repairable rash. The engine is built to high compression specs and each cylinder had over 100 lbs per bore. I have some reg cards indicating the 2002 belonged to the men at Moran motorsports, who do good work. The original gauge cluster, console and steering column covers are here if you need them. There are no back seats or rear cards, but I believe I have located the rear seats. Also I mayhave some other parts turning up in a few days depending on the friend I got it from supplying them. He is a good friend.Center caps for the wheels and a full set of BBS mesh rims and more are what he has for me. The body is a nice 10 footer. There is no thru rust anywhere. The passengerdoor has some door dings down low. There is a slight impression behind the drivers door that is only visible in bright light. The trim is amazing and complete with some slight pitting here and there. The sunroof goes back easily and the windows roll up and down just fine. The doors shut firmly and solidly. The car has been off the road for long enough to check over the brakes and fluids. I took the car up to the top of thehill and came back down a very steep slope. There is a clunky sound from the passenger side rear suspension. Nothing major, but should be examined. Its a freshly pulled garage find that needs light mechanicalattention. We did a quick valve adjustment and you can refine that & more as you go.The car started right up after 7 years off and drove to the top of the mountain. Impressive. Thanks for checking out this old BMW. The title is here in my name and I have a shipping company I like that does international and domestic. Check my feedback, we bring the happy to you for 5years now andhundreds of good car finds later we are still at it. harris.
