1962 Austin-Healey 3000 tri-carb MKll NO RESERVE AUCTION !!! This is an enthusiast's tribute to a rally car that Pat Moss & others would have rallied & racedback in the 1960's. It is a tri-carb model produced by BMC on the production line & offered for sale thru dealerships of the day. This is nota car run by the factory, ut was used by a private party in his own local hill climb events back when.

Was hill climb raced back in the day and street driveable now.

Factory hardtop with new plexi window, oll bar, ompetition lap belts, map lights, oof lamp (not shown in photos), everse lamp, ucas driving lights.

Barn find 3 years ago from enclosed dry storage since 1985, all hydraulicsnew, o rust gas tank. new fuel pump, ockingMonza gas cap, riple SU carbs cleaned & adjusted with screened velo stacks.

All matching numbers BMIHT certificate, uilt Dec 4 1961, SA export, eft hand drive, ortland Oregon dealer destination. ignition key to original code.

Cooling system cleaned, lushed & 50/50 coolant, ew rad hoses, -stat,& belt, exas cooler fan with booster electric fan added. electrics in working order, ew volt regulator, xtra fuse block added,

Generator cleaned & tested with proper output, s same for starter motor. heater fan removed but included with car.

Engine starts, uns, ulls strong. headers, am, ew muffler with side exit exhaust. excellent instant oil pressure, pin-on oil filter added, 50 lbs compression on all 6 cyls, alves hold adjustment as they should. engine does not smoke or use oil.

New battery, ystem changed to neg ground.

Thiscar is a tribute to theHomologationSpecials built by BMC in limited numbers for a short period for rally & race rules to provide the special intake manifolds & triple S U carbs for added torque and horsepower, hat could be purchased by anyone at their local dealership. Could be just street driven, r in this case also used in amateur events.

This particular car has special specification camshaft, ubular exhaust headers & dual side exit exhaust with new muffler. has a very healthy & throaty idle and power on note.

This car is a well used, ARN FIND that has undergone a sympathetic preservation (not restoration), hat sat unused since 1985. Now up & running again and runs VERY STRONG.

Frame is undamaged, traight & true. some older patches & repairs to body from the day, ome nicks, hips & dings in this fifty something old sports car.

I like the 'driven hard & put away wet' look...

White door 'rectangles' are magnetic & removable. car has beenrepainted to red from original white color some time ago.
