Description:

1961 Austin Healey 3000

1961 Austin Healey 3000 MKII

1961 Austin Healey 3000 MKII BT7

Historically when the first Austin-Healey was introduced at the London Motor Show in 1950 it was an overnight sensation. The design has certainly withstood the test of time and even today the designs of the Austin-Healeys created by Mr. B. Bildy and Mr Gerry Coker, stand tall when compared to any sports car designs of the 1950s and 1960s. You only have to drive a six cylinder once to realize how much fun it is to drive and what it is to listen to the great thundering noise of the six-cylinder engine. The car was known for great structural strength and fantastic performance and was a first class winner in the hands of the likes of Pat Moss.

Here at MissChiTown a marketing service for collectors that want to have their car presented on eBay we believe that the “packaging” of any individual car is one of its most important elements, by that we mean the accessories, color and condition all together as a unit. The Austin-Healey in this eBay listing has all three of those important elements. It is in fantastic condition, the color scheme is the best we have ever seen and it has all of the accessories and also one of the most rare accessories – the removable hardtop. When you want bragging rights for your Austin-Healey, having all of the accessories, the great color and having such a rare accessory as the removable hardtop give you those bragging rights that other Austin-Healey owners will not have.

The private seller has owned the car since 1991. It was restored 25 years ago and the engine and transmission were completely disassembled. He has provided the following details about the car.
