1977 Alfa Romeo Spider

Thank you for visiting my listing. I am selling my spider because I simply need the room for other projects. When I purchased the car about 8 years ago it needed a lot of TLC. So I set about fixing, replacing, or restoring most of the mechanical and interior components of the car. The goal was to restore this wonderful Italian machineto let the free-revving engine sing again. It's now a blast to drive. There is no 2nd gear crunch, common on many spiders of this era, and with it professionally aligned, the car tracks perfectly straight. The 2.0 liter engine has the mechanical Spica fuel injection system. I have meticulously set the timing of the ignition system and subsequently adjusted the fuel injection system following the specific Alfa tuning method. Since then, I haven't needed to touch the system. If you have any questions, please let me know. Thanks!
Here is a list of the major components that are new:

Fuel tank, rubber fuel lines, fuel filters, and fuel pressure sensor

Radiator hoses, heater hoses, vacuum hoses, and thermostat

Calipers, rotors, brake pads, rubber brake lines

Suspension bushings front and rear, front and rear shocks and springs

Brake booster, clutch and brake master cylinders, slave cylinder and hose

Electronic distributor, spark plug wires (Magnecor), plugs, and coil

Drive belt, radiator hoses, vacuum hoses, and engine mounts

Exhaust system: refurbished two-piece headers, new front pipe, center muffler, and stinger rear pipe

Interior carpet, thermal and noise dampening underlayment on the floor and in the doors, door cards, and rear bumper

Headlight wiring relay, starter relay, engine temperature sensor

Headlights and newer seats in great condition

Front and rear wheel bearings, transmission flex coupler, U joints, and battery

Additionally, the alternator was professionally serviced, and both the radiator and heater core were inspected and cleaned by a radiator shop.

What needs to be done: Although the body is in decent shape, after almost 40 years, it needs some body work to repair the dings and dents, and a respray. The rear main seal and pinion seal need to be replaced as does the reverse light switch. It leaks engine oil very slowly. I probably top it off once between oil changes. Last month I did a complete oil and filter change and topped off both the transmission and differential fluids.

Please note that I am selling this car "as is" with no warranty or guarantee implied. But if you are looking for a fun car to drive and to maintain, I'm certain that this car with provide the enjoyment you'll looking for. Feel free to ask questions. Thanks!
