1970 Alfa Rome GIULIA 1.6 Super Biscione

Really fine example of the original "sport sedan", Euro-spec model in very good shape. Runs great, rust free straight body, very low original miles, twin carb 1.6 Biscione high performance engine. Italian import, unique color, very nice paint, blue velour interior, overall quite good condition. Really looks sharp, handles crisply and drives very well. Compact size with space efficient layout provides room for 4 adults and a large luggage compartment.

The car is a sought after "Biscione" model with the high output engine that was used by the Polizia Stradale. It has the correct upright standing pedals, a small center console between the front seats, dark green instruments as well as additional stainless steel trim on the engine hood. the sills and the rain drains and the "Biscione" snake badge on the C-pillar

If you know your Giulias you know how rare a Biscione is. We found this 1970 Alfa Romeo Giulia 1.6 Super Biscione in a very small town in northern Italy. This example comes in a very cool and unique Bluette shade exterior with the rare blue velour fabric interior.Attractive interior in good condition, some wear to driver’s seat fabric, passenger and rear seats excellent, some minor flaws.

The classic Alfa 1.6 liter DOHC engine is rated at 110 HP in the Biscione and provides very lively performance via dual Weber carbs. The 5-Speed manual transmission allows comfortable cruising at modern freeway speeds. This Alfa has an original mileage of only 22K miles and drives as young as it looks.

Mechanically A1, all systems in good working order. The car has recently received a complete tune-up and detail and is ready for a new home. This 105.26 Super comes with it’s original 00526/A motor which is complete and runs perfectly.

The Biscione ( “snake” in Italian - also known as the Vipera ('viper' or in Milanese as the Bissa), is a heraldic charge showing a blue serpent in the act of swallowing a human: usually a child and sometimes described as a Moor. It has been the emblem of the Italian Visconti family for around a thousand years.) was a special trim and tuning package offered in limited numbers. These special Giulias are identified by a Biscione badge on the rear roof pillar.

Runs sweet! Drives great. No rust, no mechanical issues, excellent overall condition. Simple and reliable, good parts availability, highly collectable model.

One of the most enjoyable sedans ever built.

Specializing in Classic Italian Cars as Only the Passionate Can

We don't sell cars. We sell history, nostalgia and style. We sell the classic Italian cars of yesteryear to an audience as passionate and enthusiastic as we are. If you love the Alfa Romeos, Fiats and Lancias of old as much as we do, take a look at the beauties we offer. . .or let us know if you're in search of a particular car. We're always looking--we just might find it!

We tap into our extensive network to scour Italy, hunting through old barns and garages, to find these vintage Italian cars. Once we find a treasure, it's shipped to our warehouse location in Northern Italy where a specialist with 40 years' experience meticulously reviews the car and reconditions anything that is not as it should be. This precious cargo is then shipped to the U.S. in small numbers, to our San Francisco location.

This is not strictly business for us -- we have daytime jobs. This is love. We are not your typical car dealers. We are the real deal, men with such enthusiasm for these classic Italian cars that we're going to great lengths to find and preserve them. Why? Because these cars are as familiar to us as our childhoods. Our passion for these cars knows no bounds. We seek them out. We hunt them down. We lovingly recondition them. Our goal is to offer the best authentic, original classic Italian cars, and to build a network of car enthusiasts like us across the globe.
