1939 Ford Other Pickups Rat Rod

This 1939 Ford Pickup Rat Rod has its own version of cool. The stance and the V8 growl out of those tall stacks are instant indicators that this is no farm truck. And as you dig deeper into the details, this flat black custom even has surprising upgrades, like A/C and an overdrive transmission.
Matte black always sets the tone right for a mean machine. This is a truly lowered truck where the body is channeled over the frame and inches were chopped out of the cab roof to give it a ground-hugging profile. Everything about this truck is about balancing a robust rat rod look with plenty of added style touches. Up front, the elimination of the fenders and hood sides give you a sneak peek at beefy components, like the suspension and V8 power. But there's also the deeply dipping grille and torpedo-style headlights borrowed from earlier classics. In the rear, there's glossy real wood in the truck bed. But people may not notice it, because they are too busy ogling at those big custom exhaust stacks.
Open the door, and the full rat rod experience continues. There are Southwest-style tapestries on the seat and even used for carpeting. Sitting low on the cushions and grabbing the tall gearstick will instantly make you feel like the Rat Fink (remember, he's on the hood.) That's why this will always make a very charismatic first impression. But once again, take a moment to look at the details to find the really cool stuff. The full Dolphin gauge package is quite a thoughtful upgrade. Plus, you have a full R134a air conditioning system (it just likely needs a recharge to blow ideally cold again.)
While there are a few hints of flair inside and out, the engine bay really loves to shine the most. The ribbed valve covers, polished brake booster, and bold block color really add some extra attitude to the motor. Beyond the style is the substance of a mighty 350 cubic-inch V8 that's enhanced with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor and shorty headers that feed those awesome vertical stacks in the bed. While this is a great power package, there are also so thoughtful pieces to make it a nice all-around driver. You have an electric fan and power brakes with front discs. There's even a four-speed automatic transmission with switch-activated overdrive...we bet you didn't think you'd get that on a rat rod, right?
This is a rat rod, but it's go so much custom work that it's also a RAD rod. So you know you've already fallen in love/lust this build's attitude, especially since it's at such a nice price. Call today!!!
