1966 Dodge Dart GT

The best way to stand out in the vintage car crowd is to find an uncommon classic with a big motor. Not only will this 1966 Dodge Dart GT get you the rumble you want, but also it's a detail-oriented classic with a quality appearance.

We love this year Dart because it combines some wide-stance features with jet-inspired styling. Only adding to the cool factor is this white hardtop has a distinctive metallic blue roof. It adds a truly premium and memorable touch to this Dart. Plus, you'll love the brightwork. Wide shining chrome bumpers, upgraded polished Rally-style wheels, and the artful GT emblems on the C-pillar all gave this is a great classic American look. And these had some of the most intricate trim around with a line that starts at the tailfin-like ornaments, and it runs all the way up the car and wraps around the pillarless hardtop.

The same white and blue two-tone of the exterior continues inside to deliver the kind of thoughtful appearance we love on a 1960s classic. Even the trunk is complete in matching blue carpeting. It's also thoughtful in the details with plenty of premium wood-like trim, a center console, factory A/C controls (system currently not installed), and even a later Mopar AM/FM digital tuner w/cassette cleanly installed. And there's an overall feeling of quality, right down to the window felts. But while you'll love this for a well-done classic, you also know this was built for performance. It's in everything from the vintage-style low-back bucket seats, to the addition of the large Mopar Performance tach on the steering column.

Wedged underneath the hood is a 360 cubic-inch Mopar V8. This is particularly special because those who know Darts remember that a motor this large would not be a factory option until the next generation. So that's why the block is so bold and ready to be displayed. It's also been upgraded with performance parts such as a Holley four-barrel carburetor, Mopar air gap intake, and Mopar fined valve covers. There's an aluminum radiator w/electric fan to help keep it all running cool. And long tube headers add more power while feeding the very straight pipes of the Cherry Bomb dual exhaust. So you know it makes a terrific growl. Even with all its street-eating power, this Dart is still a comfortable way to get around. The three-speed automatic transmission, wide BF Goodrich T/A tires, and front disc brakes make it a solid driver.

Complete with owner's manual, this is a distinct-looking classic that also follows the best idea of a big motor in a small package. So if you're looking for a coordinated, complete, and powerful hardtop, don't miss this Dart. Call today!!!
