1951 Chevrolet Other Pickups 3 Window Restomod

1951 Chevrolet 3100 Restomod is a custom build that's ultra-sleek, ultra-comfortable, and ultra-powerful. So take some time to look over every inch, because everything from the A/C interior to the dual-quad V8 was given that extra effort to make sure you turn heads and win awards.

This one instantly announces its something different from the first impression. After all, when was the last time you saw a modern-style mesh grille on a 3100 pickup? They made sure this one was as sleek as possible by expertly deleting trim and shaving the door handles so that nothing gets in the way of the curvaceous design. Plus, we love the look of the smooth one-piece front end that allows the hood to seamlessly flow right into the fenders. And keeping with this smooth attitude is the burgundy paint. It's the kind of professional application with a deep gloss that loves to let the light dance across this pickup. This glossy look also extends to the real wood in the truck bed. And while that's a great classic detail, the polished Ridler wheels staggered at 18/20 inches front/rear on the lowered suspension give this a stance that instantly announces it's a classic Chevy whose feed-n-seed days are long gone.

Pop the remote door openers to reveal a full custom interior. The exterior burgundy returns on the dash and door tops, and now it's joined by a tasteful two-tone black and tan. In fact, the whole package comes together nicely on the seats. You have supple leather for the two-tone, and the Ferrari-like rivet inserts and stitching have deep red accents to coordinate with the exterior. Even the custom door panels are done to match. And the inside is quite thoughtful for more than just its color combo. It has great upgrades like an AM/FM/CD stereo with USB input, upgraded speakers, power windows, and cold-blowing R134a air conditioning. As you slip behind the wheel, you can really feel that this is a driver's pickup. The Boyds sports steering wheel is mounted on a tilt column, and so you get an excellent view of the dash that's dominated by the crisp VDO gauges. And the B&M ratchet floor shifter is pure performance.

The one-piece fiberglass front end is on an electric-operated front hinge, and the switch is on the dash. So you know you're going to love the looks you get when you pull up to the car show and open up the whole front without ever leaving the driver's seat! And you'll be glad everyone gets a good look at this one. They took their time for a detailed build. Not only do you have plenty of polished components, but also there's a color-matched burgundy block and intake. You can also see that this pretty motor is a monster powerhouse. It's a 350 cubic-inch V8 with great performance upgrades like dual Quick Fuel four-barrel carburetors, a Weiand high rise tunnel ram intake, and long tube headers that feed the rumbling dual exhaust. Plus, there are all the right supporting components, like a serpentine belt system, MSD ignition, steel braided hoses, and an aluminum radiator with electric fans. The undercarriage photos show off the suspension investment, like tubular A-arms up front and a four-link rear with stabilizer brace. It's a total package that's made to be stout and easy to enjoy. That's why there's also a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and four-wheel power disc brakes.
