Description:

1965 Dodge Coronet 440

NOM 440 c.i. big block Mopar (1974 vintage) engine. Rebuilt by the prior owner in the late 1990’s (10.1+:1 Compression Ratio, mild Mopar Purple HEMI grind with 484 lift performance cam). Edelbrock 750 cfm 4-bbl. #1407 carb with manual choke set-up & CH4B dual plane aluminum intake, Heddman 1-3/4” Ultra Thermal Heat Coated (THC) Headers, deep sump oil pan, etc. Mopar electronic ignition system, 2-1/2” dual galvanized exhaust system with Manual cut-outs for great sounding open headers. Slightly modified / rebuilt A727 TorqueFlite 3-Speed Automatic Transmission and 8-3/4 Sure Grip rear with 3.23 gears. Less than 20k miles on engine and drivetrain. New spark plugs and Mopar high torque mini-starter installed in April when new headers installed. Original Ruby Red (Code TT) single stage, urethane body paint color reportedly resprayed in the early 1990’s. Yes, it has some scratches, chips, small dents & dings, along with some previous body work that has held-up well since the early 90’s. Overall condition of glass is good. Windshield was replaced, but all side / wing windows are original with some chips and minor scratches. Again, this is a good, driver condition classic Mopar muscle car. Black vinyl reupholstered interior with front bucket seats. Body color dash, kick panel and steering column accents. B&M floor mounted Super Shifter, VDO Tach with oil pressure and water temperature gauges. Currently, speedo disconnected. Cruise at 1,500 RPM (25 MPH) around town and 2,500 RPM (55 MPH) on the highway. Fuel gauge works, exterior & dash lights functioning, wipers operate normally. Currently, the heater /defrost system engine bay hoses are disconnected, but all under dash hardware appears to be in place. Vent blower motor works fine. Aftermarket Pioneer AM/FM Stereo System with single front & dual rear speakers added for your cruising pleasure to classic road tunes. New reproduction Coronet 440 black vinyl floor mats (front & rear) were on order from Legendary Interiors since early March, but word today from them is that their mold machine is down and my specialty floor mats will not be made soon (SO, I CANCELED THE ORDER THIS MORNING - SORRY, NO NEW MATS WITH SALE OF VEHICLE)! Front disc brake Mopar conversion kit with dual master cylinder power booster. Tires & Wheels: Front - New BF Goodrich Radial T/A (P215/70R15) on classic 15x6 American Racing Torq Thrust D / Rear - New M&H Racemaster Drag Radials (P235/60R15) on black powder coated Mopar 15x7 steel wheels for that nostalgic S/S look. Good-Year (F78-14) bias-ply spare tire on factory color steel wheel, jack assembly and trunk mat. CA Car Cover. This is an original 318 V8 coded Coronet 440 reportedly from Texas. Current Vehicle Title dated 1995 from MINNESOTA should be transferred today to VIRGINIA. The prior owner signed title over to me and included my name as Buyer prior to me receiving car, so not an open title currently. VADMV was not open over the past 3+ months to complete the registration process, but has now resumed limited operations. Appointment scheduled for today (July 8, 2020). Will sell with clean VA Vehicle title and Bill of Sale thereafter to aid Buyer. Price is firm so please, no scammers, dealers, tire kickers or low ballers! I DO NOT HAVE TO SELL THIS VEHICLE FOR MONEY NEEDS. JUST TESTING THE WATERS DUE TO RECENT HEALTH ISSUES. UNFORTUNATELY, ONGOING TREATMENTS HAVE SLOWED ME DOWN FROM REALLY ENJOYING THIS CLASSIC MOPAR AS IT SHOULD BE! Cash preferred and will entertain hand delivered cash offers over $16k. Also, certified / Bank check will be OK. Vehicle does not leave until all funds clear my bank; no exceptions! No trades please. Buyer is responsible for all shipping / delivery charges. Please make arrangements accordingly. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding. Be safe and I hope you all enjoyed the 4th of July Holiday Weekend with your family and friends.
