1965 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic

Super cool vintage hot rod built on a 1965 VW Beetle project. This Transvair is powered by a 1965 Corvair Corsa engine with four carbs that advertises 140hp through a 4-speed 1965 Corvair Corsa transaxle. It's the same powertrain as Steve McQueen's Manx buggy... The car runs and drives. It also smokes and backfires and is loud as hell, since it doesn't have any mufflers, but it runs and drives and is lots of fun even with the engine in need of some serious attention (not sure what it needs, probably valve and cylinder stuff). It has a power driver's seat, a sunroof and a stereo with speakers that can be placed on the roof for beach parties, etc. Would be an awesome project that I would love to finish myself, but I'm in Chicago and have no room.
