1950 Dodge Power Wagon

I have owned quite a few of these trucks, have seen many more over the years and this is the cleanest, most original unrestored example that I have seen. True, there are now examples of a vintage power wagon listed for high dollars that are over restored far beyond what they were when new. This is not one of those, this is simply a nice, clean, well taken care of Texas truck that obviously did not have a very hard life. The truck is remarkably devoid of corrosion, the only rust I can find is on the very bottom of the rear cab lip and just above the rear body mounts. Both areas are just beginning to show and I can find no other such areas including the door bottoms, running board mounts or the fender panels. It appears to have had cosmetic restoration over the years with new paint and interior some time ago along with brake work and the installation of a steel flatbed which quite honestly is a work of art. Exceptions to originality are as follows: lock-out hubs, 11x16 Michelin tires, 12 volt conversion with single wire alternator, Pertronix ignition, Cummins 10k electric winch on rear, class 111 trailer hitch and the mentioned steel flatbed. In the process of servicing the truck after long term storage the following was done: flushed fuel tank, all new lines and filters, rebuilt carburetor, flushed cooling system with new hoses, thermostat and antifreeze, new spark plugs and wires, flushed brake system and bleed with DOT4 fluid. Drivers wiper was changed to electric, passenger wiper works as expected on vacuum. Although the wire harness is original and a bit tired everything works including the gauges although as is usually the case the needle has fallen off the speedo and the mileage is difficult to read hence the TMU. Windshield and cowl vent are nice, door windows crank up and down, brakes and e-brake work well. Haven't tried either winch but I see no reason they would not work. Because of the mentioned original wiring harness a manual battery shut-off reachable from the drives seat has been added. This was done without drilling any new holes. Other than the I assume drilled holes by the dealer for the heater installation, I see no extra holes in the firewall which by the way is still in original blue paint. Also including a box of assorted spare parts including oil filters(8), universals and assorted electrical items. This truck is ready for daily use or the car show. Title is a clear and open Utah title and the truck is in NY.
