Description:

1990 Jeep Wrangler

Body is in great shape. The only rust through that I have been able to find is on the windshield frame and windshield is cracked. Clear coat is peeling. Other than that it is a solid body and frame. the interior is rough as is the top.
There is a poorly installed 4.3l Chevy V6 with a 4l60E transmission. Both were supposed to have been Jasper Remans. The engine ran fine when I got it but the transmission has a bad leak somewhere. It is not running now but I am sure that with some new gas it would run again. I was going to replace them with a 5.3L and trans so I never really tracked down the problem. The wiring is poorly installed, the aluminum radiator sits is not mounted correctly, it has v8 engine mounts so the engine sits way forward, the hump was kind of cut up to fit the transfer case shifter, etc, etc. Someone with the time to clean up the installation could have a pretty nice Jeep the way it is or you could do like I was going to do and swap in a V8. I have an aluminum block LC9 for sale on eBayas well.
The body has been lifted 3 inches and there is a Pro Comp 5" Coil Conversion Lift Kit installed. That costs $2k by itself. There is a full set of autometer gauges in it and if you like that sort of thing there are even some chrome side pipes. There are also a set of 0 mile BFGoodrich Mud Terrain T/A KM2 tires (12.5 x 35) on brand new Cragar Soft 8 black steel wheels that cost over $1300 when purchased a couple of years ago. Never been driven on.
This is a solid platform to build from but it is a project.
