You will see other very cool cars listed by me on Ebay also. I am not a dealer. I am a hobbyist that is getting out of the old car hobby. I have 8 old cars. All very nice and special to me in their own way. I want to reduce down to just 3 cars to save on storage fees. It does't really matter to me which 3 I keep, because I like them all. Don't be afraid to make a reasonable offer on any one that trips your trigger. Sorry, but low ballers will automatically be declined.
I also want to get some items out of the way up front. (1) I do not respond to text messages. Call if you are serious. (2) All funds must clear my bank before the car leaves here. (3) Please do not hit the enter key if you are not serious about buying it. ( 4) Call me for honest answers to any and all questions and concerns before you hit the enter key. (5) If you are new to eBay or have zero feedback, please call first so I know you are not a scammer / dreamer and truly are a potentially serious purchaser. (6) I will refund your deposit if the car does not match the description below. (7) NO TRADES
This is a super nice older hot rod that is a complete body off the frame creation. It was originally built for the drag strip and ran a super charged big block Chevy. The boostgauge is still in the dash. It is hard to tell by pictures, but the quality of thebuild and attention to detail is way over the top.
The body is all steel and in great shape. The paint is a pearl yellow and is still in great condition minus some minor chips. It really glows in the sunlight. The flames are painted on, and even the underside of the car is flamed to match the top. The chopped top was professionally done and the doors close better than a new car. Fit andfinish is perfect.
Note: Some times pictures make a car look better than it is. This one is just theopposite. This car actually looks better in person and the yellow is not so over whelming.
The interior was all custom fabricated and super nice. Allgauges workexcept the fuelgauge. I tested it at the sending unit, and determined it is for sure thesending unit. Very easy to get to through a small access panel behind the seat but there are somanydifferent voltages withthem, I didn't know which one to buy?Power doors with manual outside cable under the car also for easy access if the battery goes dead. The battery is sitting on a custom fabricated holder in the right front fender well. Very sturdy and out of the way. The 2 speed wipers work, but there are no wiper arms orblades. Roll bar is mounted to the frame as it should be.
The engine was replaced with a low mileage and stock 454 big block. It starts right up and runs out great. Plenty of power. The trans is a 400 turbo with the heavy duty straight cut gears and a shift kit. Stock converter. The rear end is a Ford 9" with the heavy duty "N" case nodular center section. I have no idea what ratio it is, but it must be is the 3:55 to 3:73 rangebecause it cruises down the highway just fine. It has Moser Engineering racing axles. Take a close look at the photos of the underside. The craftsmanship is outstanding. It is super clean and was probablywaxed when it was first done. The only issue with the driveline is some bearing whine from the rear end. Not sure which bearing it is, but I will try to figurenotout and have it corrected before the car is picked up. The wheels are REAL vintage American Racing wheels that use the shank style lug nuts, not the newstyle bevel cut lugs. The tires are all new with MT street drag radials on the back. The exhaust is solid and has cool, easy to get to, cut outs.
I know I am forgetting to mention something here. Thereis just too many cool items to mention everything on this car. It really is a "must see to appreciate" custom.
This car is a very cool old hot rod that you won't have to worry about someone else at the cruise night having one like it. Drives like a new car. Very reliable and exceptionally fun to drive.
