1956 Chevrolet Nomad

This 1956 Chevrolet Nomad was purchased by my late father-in-law in 1972. It currently belongs to my mother-in-law. This vehicle is like a member of the family and has a ton of sentimental value, but she recently downsized from a house to a townhome and she has decided to sell it due to lack of space.
The overall condition of this Nomad is good. The body is very solid as it was always kept out of the elements since purchasing it is 1971. This Nomad has a nice patina and several 1970s era "hot-rod" modifications; such as, 327ci motor equipped with Edelbrock accessories, headers, tachometer/gauges, floor shifter, and American Racing CP200 wheels with Goodyear tires. Keep in mind this Nomad has not been cranked and driven in many years, so it would need to be tuned up and inspected before hitting the road. It appears it was repainted with a lacquer base and had color change at some point. This paint is showing age and is cracking up, primarily on the tops of the fenders. The interior was also restored and had a color change at some point. The seating, carpet, and headliner are in acceptable condition with some fading and wear. It appears the original color of this Nomad may have been a turquoise or light blue.
After some tuning and updates, this Nomad would make a great driver as-is. It would also be a great candidate for a complete restoration since the body would not need extensive metal work like many (rusty) cars from the 1950s. Please keep in mind, we are representing this Nomad as accurately as possible. I truly wish my father-in-law was still living as he could tell you every detail, dollar spent, and story about this Nomad.
