1955 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 Restomod

Fresh out of a frame-off restoration that included the addition of some great components and looking great both inside and out, this 1955 Chevrolet 210 Restomod is as equally well-equipped for enthusiastic driving as it is for doing some serious damage at car shows. Better still, it comes with the build receipts and restoration photos to chronicle its journey to becoming the stellar street machine you see here.
We'll freely admit that we're big fans of the Chevy 210 to start with. They've got such a great, vintage look with their stout build and all that chrome trim. You'd be hard-pressed to come up with a car that better epitomizes the '50s era of vintage cars. We have to say, though, this one here really stands out. That stare-inducing Porsche dark green exterior looks great on a classic like this one, and it's no ordinary paint job, but rather the result of 3 applications of clearcoat over the green base. With fresh chrome and new-looking glass all the way around, everything about this Chevy is just a cut above. The signature rocket-shaped emblem on the hood actually appears to radiate, and even the badging in front and back looks more colorful than normal. If you take a closer look, you'll also notice that not only are all the light bezels looking particularly sharp, but even the lights themselves appear recently installed.
Inside, you'll find an outstanding interior matching the same high standards you see on the outside. The black leather bench seats in both front and back reflect obvious high quality and are the handiwork of the renowned craftsmen at McVickers upholstery of Lincoln, Nebraska. Just beyond the custom steering wheel sitting atop a brushed aluminum tilt column is a dash area that's an impressive blend of black steel and chrome trim. The stock, fan-shaped instrument cluster housing the speedometer, temperature gauge and fuel level is crystal clear, and it's augmented by an assortment of Moon gauges to monitor your other motoring functions. An AM/FM radio sporting a very era-appropriate look, as well as the signature Chevy bowtie, sits front and center amidst an expanse of chrome, while just below, a Vintage Air climate control system is at the ready to keep your contingent nice and comfortable. In back, the spacious trunk area is nice and clean, with a full-sized spare sitting securely on the carpet-lined floor, that not only shows a lot of fresh tread, but also sports its own aftermarket rim.
Some serious thought went into configuring the drivetrain sitting under the hood. Built for dependable, high performance driving, it has a new Chevy 350 cubic inch engine bored .30 over with Crower roller rockers, cam and lifters and features Tuned Port Injection as its foundation, offering both abundant power and reliable performance in any kind of condition you might encounter. Mated to a 700r4 automatic overdrive transmission with an 1800 stall and a posi rear end with 3.36 gears for effortless, low RPM highway motoring. Take a look below and you'll see that everything underneath is looking impressively straight and unscuffed. This inspired classic sits with a very fitting low and slightly inclined stance on a set of 15" custom steel rims, outfitted with Firehawk radials. This 210 is well equipped for driving in the real world with power front disc brakes as well as power steering, making navigation and stopping low-effort endeavors.
