This is anoriginal California, 1980 Mercedes Benz 300SD, Turbo Diesel Sedan.

One of the last handmade W116 models

The economical to operate 3.0 liter, turbo charged, inline 5 cylinder, diesel engine starts right up and runs extremely well. The idle is smooth. The 300SD does not leak, smoke, overheat or make any unusualnoises. The entire drive trainis solid and tight.

The automatic transmission shifts properly into all gears

The brakes, steering and suspension are in good working order.

Climate controls operate, air conditioning will need service

Cosmetically this 300SD looks great. The structural integrity is superb and the frame is rock solid. Although the paint is old and original it still has a nice luster. As with any pre owned vehicle there are minor dings, dents, chips, scratches, scrapes, hazing, fading, touch ups and nicks......

The overall appearance of this 300SD gets high marks for having an honest, original and authentic look.
