I'm often asked where we find these unique rigs. One of my best workers cruises retirement home parking lots, our Elks club, the V.F.W hall and back alleys of the few remaining working-class neighborhoods still left here in Seattle. He can spot a seatbelt slammed in a car door a mile away... He always notices when a vehicle's driving down the road with a turn signal on just a little too long and he positively twitches with glee passing by a car or truck with metal bumpers. Over the years many vintage Chevy Pickups have graced our driveway so you can imagine just how pleased I was when this classic Custom C20 rolled into the warehouse a few weeks ago.

If you're in the market for a great driving, well-kept, vintage daily driver please give this truck your kind attention. You're also welcome to contact me with questions or to discuss a sale before the end of the Ebay listing. My name is Mark Thompson and I can be reached at 206/914-1173

Take a good look at my photos. It's easy to see the attentiveness and care taken by the past owner of this Chevy has really paid off! With a casual glance you might think this is just another ol' truck. But, like I did, look a little closer and you'll realize what a find this thing really is!The first hint is when you check for rust in the usual spots (including the bed). For those not familiar with the Pacific Northwest, especially western Washington, we get our share of misty rain, but hardly ever any snow.At the first falling flake everyone panics and stays home.Truth is, our winter roads are rarely salted, so you'll see very few vehicles here with any serious rust issues!Climb over, under and around this rig - I know you'll come up smiling!

When you open the hood, you're in for nice surprise. After arriving at my warehouse last month my tech did a complete check-out and tuned her up. We don't know when the factory replacement Goodwrench 350 (with four-barrel carburetor) was installed, but the second you fire it up, you'll know it was built to last!I love the deep burble this strong motor makes.Factory installed power steering makes for easy turns! The Turbo Hydra-matic transmission shifts through all gears as it should with absolutely no slippage and you've gotta appreciate the look of a vintage fully instrumented dash. Open the glove box and you'll see the fully legible data sticker on the inside of the door along with the original 1969 Owner's Manual stowed there for you. Here's how the VIN code breaks down:

C - Conventional 4x2 Chassis

E - 350 CID V-8 engine

2 - 7500 GVW

4 - Pickup with cab and bed

9 - 1969 Model Year

Z - Fremont, California Assembly Plant

890440 - Sequential Serial Number

Up in the cab you'll find full instrumentation. If you're like me, the slightly-smaller-than-stock padded three spoke steering wheel allows my greater-than-high-school girth to still fit comfortably in the driver's seat. Though the odometer reads 73,425 I have no idea if these are accurate miles (remember, it's only a five-digit counter). Look at my pictures of the bench seat. Both the cover and underlayment were redone some years ago in heavy-duty vinyl with only a few worn spots. The seat springs hold your bum firmly, too! It's pretty obvious floormats must have been in place over the years as the one-piece factory rubber mat is in exceptional condition.

Outside I know you'll also be impressed by the classic white over aqua green solid paint. It's had one quality respray to the original colors and is just about as clear and bright as the day this C-20 Custom rolled off the Fremont assembly line all those years ago.Over the past half decade, the owner (who sold to us only because pressing projects needed the space) rebuilt the drum brake system, replaced the ignition and door lock cylinders, the water pump, both front & rear shocks and added the very cool 9003 halogen headlamps.Up in the cab, the dash panel has fresh chrome, an un-marred original dash pad (with no cracks) and the factory AM radio.I don't think it's connected to a power source now.All the gauges work except the temp. as it needs an engine sensor. The locking dual tanks hold at least ten to fifteen gallons each. Though I've always appreciated the look of stock steel wheels with "dog dish" covers, these nice aluminum aftermarkets are a great upgrade without detracting from the vintage vibe. They're wrapped with Hankook LT215/85R16 radials having at least 80 percent remaining tread all around.Nothing much else to report or do but get in and drive!

Please feel free to email or contact me with any questions. My name is Mark Thompsonand my direct number is 206/914-1173.You're welcome and encouraged to come by my Auburn, WA warehouse to inspect and drive the rig.You might also make an offer before the end of the auction, as many of my vehicles sell to smart "early birds" that call and work out a deal prior to the auction's end.I always reserve the right to sell during this period.

A Few Additional Terms and Conditions:

A nonrefundable $500 deposit is due within 48 hours of the auction's conclusion. The balance is due by cash or certified funds within seven business days unless prior arrangements have been made with me.Please remember you are bidding to buy and I fully expect the winning bidder to fulfill their Ebay contract! You're not bidding to hold or then come inspect and test-drive the truck later as you're encouraged to do this before the auction ends.

You're welcome to do what many past buyers from as far away as Florida, California, Canada and even Mexico have done with classic vehicles I've sold; fly in here to SeaTac International and then drive the truck home.I'm happy to meet you at the airport and my storage warehouse is only a few miles south in Auburn.

If you decide to have theChevy shipped, there are scores of transportcompanies to choose from.Don't be intimidated if you've not had something transported before (it's a relatively simple process we've done many, many times and I'll be there to help).I'd first suggest you get a transport bid from Dependable Auto Shippers (DAS). They're EBay's preferred transporter and will give you a fair quote, though they can sometimes be a bit on the high side. Call them directly at (888) 817-6203.Give the rep. my affiliate number (2362642) and they can pull up all our information for station-to-station or even door-to-door quotes.

For Oregon and California buyers, I have a great transporter that regularly delivers for us up and down the I-5 Corridor. As another alternative, you might also get bids from the U-Ship.com website. You'll be able to choose from multiple broker offers. The zip code for pick-up would be 98002 (Auburn, Washington). Please remember the shipping of the vehicle and company chosen are ultimately the responsibility of the BUYER.I will help in any way I can with the process.

If necessary, you can keep the rig free of charge at my location for up to two weeks after the auction ends assuming full payment has been received. After that period storage is $20 per day.
