This good looking car is the definition of classic luxury. German engineering through out all the body lines and style. This one even comes with a soft and hard top. From the outside of this amazing car we go to the leather interior. Its been well taken care of. This 1983 Mercedes 380SL is equipped with a new radio, convertible top, cruise control. Power Brakes. Power Steering. Power Windows.
The 3.8 liter SOHC V8 feels quite strong around town and as a German-bred 2-seater, obviously it was built for high-speed luxury cruising, so it's effortless in almost everything it does. It starts quickly, idles smoothly,. The engine bay is completely original and stock, with the exception of normal maintenance items, . Factory finishes, decals, and markings all remain 100% intact.
The 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission was a relatively recent addition to the spec sheet when this SL were built, At speed on the highway, the engine just loafs along at about 1200 RPM, barely whispering and pulling down surprisingly good fuel economy.

New catalytic converter. Smog certification good to April 2017.Almost new tires and upgraded aluminum/chrome 15 inch rims (some peeling). Brake pads have less than 2000 miles.
